We have built this site as a bridge to communicate with Mauritanian community members in the countries covered by the Embassy:
– Kingdom of Belgium,
– Grand Duchy of Luxembourg,
– Kingdom of the Netherlands,
– Kingdom of Norway,
– Kingdom of Denmark,
– Kingdom of Sweden,
– Republic of Finland,
– Republic of Iceland.
We hope that Mauritanian community members use this site to communicate with the Embassy, in particular, with the Consular Affairs Department to get the assistance they need and access information and advice this Department will give them whenever necessary.
In this context, we call on members of the community, wherever they may be, to uphold good morals, work integrity, transactions and respect the laws of the countries in which they reside.
That is the best way to avoid the dangers of life abroad and to give a good image of our Islamic religion and about Mauritania.
On the other hand, given the fundamental role that diasporas play in the economic development of their countries of origin (through money transfers and investments in small businesses that strengthen the local economy, etc.), we seek consultation with members of Mauritanian diasporas’ members, especially those in a position to guide development aid organizations and advise decision makers on development of all kinds.
The Embassy is therefore eager to establish a permanent link with Mauritanian diaspora members residing in the above-mentioned countries in order to make Mauritania well known and bring benefits to it.
We hope that we will all succeed in achieving this aim.
